Export Import the redwood job
Export Import the redwood job from one environment to another in Redwood cronacle:
Save it in the S drive in your system
Login to internet explorer
Click reloads on the file transfer screen,
save file on desktop. Then open the file with Crimson editor.
Replace existing Parameter values with new values
PARTITION: PARTTION_D with PARTITION_E
SID: from QCM to ECM
If you have second SID then replace it with new value
QX1 to EX1
Change Incident value.
If you don’t have Application then creates new application in target system.
Create application: SC_GR_E_SYSTEM
CREATING APPLICATION IN E SYSTEM
Type <AlarmHP>
Change sidadm name as “ecmadm”
Now save this file on desktop, save in .sql format
IMPORTING:
Now we need import this file in to below
directory and mention this vales in FILE TRANSFER.
Directory: directory path /usr/sap/redwood/server/ed1
Then click on send
Directory path /usr/sap/redwood/server/ed1
Now login with Redwood user on redwood host
Now change permissions to file: Give full
permissions with below command
Chmod 777 <Filename>
Now execute Redwood shell with command < rs >
Connect as
< conn internal >
Now execute @<file
name>
Now give privileges to users in Redwood for
new job

Cant we do this Import export using the Redwood Web Application which will create a .CAR file that can be export to other Redwood Environment. Confused by seeing the above process 😕 . Am I missing anything here?
I think the article is for Redwood Cronacle, which technically is in the wrong forum space.
The .CAR file migration you are talking about is for SAP CPS/BPA by Redwood.
Both are different products.

I am currently working on both SAP CPS and Cronacle Redwood. In both the applications we can generate .CAR files for export and import objects.
