Executive Speaking Session

At SAP, my role is to develop innovative, quality and go-to-market software for the company. I was able to attend an Executive Speaking Session hosted by Richard Pledereder at my home office in Dublin.

The topic that Richard presented is interesting me: The Future at SAP for Big Data and the Internet of Things.  We have worked together in the past to build enterprise software such as Bill Payment Warehouse and Internet Banking from scratch in a short time.  When attending the session, I wanted to hear what Richard had in mind for the future software of the company. More specifically, how he thinks we can make it happen for Big Data and the IoT in SAP.

Richard quickly gave us a very good lesson of IoT and pointed out the key ingredient of it.  He presented the idea and the architecture of how we could potentially  build and link the embedded system as IoT, the Big Data and the Cloud together using different existing software components of SAP quickly.  His approach is pragmatic. This opens up my mind for how to successfully enter this new market.

During Richard’s session, I enjoyed sharing my ideas during the question and answer portion and was glad to be able to engage with other colleagues during this time.
