Timeout setting is a small but an important part of the SAP system setting which prevents the long running jobs or data loads from failure due to timeout.

Here in this document I have explained the step by step process of how the time out setting can be done in the system which are as follows :-

Step 1. Login to SAP System & go to transaction code “RZ11” as shown below.

Step 2. A dialog window will get open asking for the profile parameter, put  *wprun*& click on display button.

Step 3. Once the screen Display Profile parameter attribute gets open just check the “current value” tab if there is any value maintained in the tab that means the job will get timed out after the time which have been maintained in the current value tab.

Step 4. If the project agreement is such that any longer running job should terminate after some specific time period you can maintain the value in the Current Value tab by clicking on change value it will get you to the edit tab in which you can maintain the new value.

Else keep it 0 so that no job will get terminated due to time out error.
