Following the new SAP paradigm of simplicity, Business Intelligence tools running directly in SAP HANA cuts out additional layers which speeds up processing.

Recently I noticed a shift in releases, that products are now interacting more with each other and run directly on SAP HANA.

3 types of solutions are currently available:

SAP HANA XS Engine

using js code, a lot of these solutions are available on the SAP HANA Marketplace, made by developers around the world:

There are also some SAP HANA packages which can be installed using SAP HANA Studio, like INA:

Create your own application site using SAP HANA UI Toolkit

SAP Lumira Server Visualizations

Integrating Lumira Server into BI4.1 Landscapes Webcast Notes

SAP Design Studio Dashboards

Getting Started on SAP Design Studio 1.3 powered by BW on HANA – Part 3

So I would speculate that the XS Engine will be the basis and future of all the BI integrations into SAP HANA.

BI tools which are not covered in this landing page:

Crystal Reports Server for SAP HANA, not a native SAP HANA solution:

SAP Crystal Reports, version for SAP HANA 1.0 – SAP Help Portal Page

The CR for HANA Reporting Service is installed on a separate Linux system.

BI solutions leveraging the speed of SAP HANA but not native:

SAP HANA Studio as it can display data and charts, but it's more of a desktop client, like Lumira.
