On February 6th and 7th we held two identical HANA Cloud Platform SAP CodeJams at Innovation Park at Notre Dame.  We had a terrific weekend with participants from several University of Notre Dame majors as well as local community IT professionals.  We were also able to participate in the @HackIndiana event on Saturday which afforded us another opportunity to showcase SAP technology and our brand.  You can read more about that event here:  InnovationPark at the University of Notre Dame Hosts @HackIndiana Event

We were privileged to have three SAP colleagues in town for the CodeJams.  Craig Cmehil, Director Global Developer Relations and leader of SAP CodeJams globally was joined by Aaron Williams, Product Manager for HANA Cloud Platform, Internet of Things and Connected Vehicles and Nikhil Dhairyawan, SAP HANA Cloud Platform, Partner onboarding, enablement & engagement.  This outstanding team of experts helped to provide a great deal of content and individual attention for our participants.

Since this was our first CodeJam at Notre Dame, we had the opportunity to introduce SAP and its technology to a number of people on campus.  Participants on the first day were so impressed that some of them came back again on Saturday and brought along friends that had not previously intended to come.  The ease of using HCP and  developing applications was particularly appreciated.  In fact, at least one of the Notre Dame teams competing in the HackIndiana challenge intends to use HCP for its proposed solution.

Innovation Park at Notre Dame exists to cultivate marketable innovations in an inspiring environment, with access to Notre Dame cutting-edge research, world-class faculty and students, and the global network of Notre Dame entrepreneurial veterans. In simple terms Innovation Park CONNECTS aspiring entrepreneurs with ND faculty, students and other resources to COLLABORATE with Notre Dame industry experts to COMMERCIALIZE the new venture successfully.
