Something for the Weekend – To Wiki or not to Wiki
Every day it is fantastic to see the collaborative efforts in the IdM community with some really talented IT experts sharing their knowledge (Topic leader board take a bow 🙂 ) with the greater IdM community. At times IdM can be complex when trying to realise the goals/processes set out in a project.
A possibly over looked tool beside the community forum is the SAP wiki. The main aim of the wiki is :
- Create findable, usable content (solutions)
- Capture within the workflow: solutions are in the context of a target
audience - Just in Time: solutions are easily improved over time based on demand
and usage (edit as you go) - Opportunity to reward contributors based on knowledge they share
There are already some really useful wikis like the Troubleshooting Guide that can help when setting out on the IdM journey.
The main IdM wiki space can be found at
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/Security/SAP+Identity+Management+-+Overview
and the main Netweaver troubleshooting wiki can be accessed here .
From the support side it would be great to get feedback if the wiki is a resource you have ever used or do you ever feel a need to contribute content to ?
All opinions both good and bad/constructive (please be gentle !) would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris (from SAP)
