Pride@SAP North America, a sub-chapter of SAP’s Global Pride@SAP group, welcomes LGBT* (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and more) employees, friends, and allies in North America. We strive with our objectives to:
- Make the North America region a great place to work for current and future LGBT employees, thus helping achieve SAP and SAP customers’ vision and objectives.
- Raise awareness of the business value of full inclusion, why authenticity is key, and how to create a fair, safe and comfortable working environment.
- Provide an open, safe, and fun social and networking forum in Silicon Valley for LGBT employees and supporters; help enable other locations to do the same.
- Give back to SAP in North America and our communities, helping to support and enrich the goal of diversity in North America and SAP as a whole.
We’ve had many events and successes – and we continue to have much left to do to support our colleagues worldwide in enjoying a safe and fair workplace. Read about some of the activities and open efforts in this presentation:
One thing we haven’t yet done as a company and for which there is huge interest is march together in the San Francisco Pride Parade. This year, the parade happens on Sunday, June 28 in San Francisco, and has been described as “the largest gathering of LGBT people and allies in the nation.” Many of our corporate peers march in the parade in order to continue to celebrate a safe and welcoming environment for LGBT diversity and beyond.
In the service of celebrating who we are, all we’ve done, and all we’ve left to achieve, we’re therefore proud to announce that Pride@SAP North America looks forward to coming together with SAP Silicon Valley to march in June at the San Francisco Pride Parade.
If you’re part of our SAP community and will be in the vicinity of San Francisco on June 28, we’d love to welcome you to show your pride and march together with us to publicly celebrate that we are here to help SAP Run Prouder!
