Yes, you read the blog title correctly. SAP DOES have mobile solutions for IBM Maximo because of the Syclo acquisition in June of 2012. Syclo got its start in 1995 working with Maximo backend systems for its first customer, Rush Memorial Hospital, in Chicago. SAP now continues to develop mobile apps for Maximo systems including Work Manager, Inventory Manager, and Auditor.

Now, back to why mobilizing IBM Maximo work orders is beneficial for your operations. Ultimately, mobilizing your work orders will reduce the number of steps, activities and personnel required to perform daily work as exhibited by the diagram below. Data seamlessly flows in and out of IBM Maximo - with fewer opportunities for miscommunications, errors and data loss.

Looks and sounds nice, right? But what can SAP mobile solutions for EAM (enterprise asset management) really do for an organization? Here are just a few ways that the former Syclo, now SAP mobile apps for EAM, have helped organizations to experience these types of improvements in their workforces*:

  • Labor productivity increased up to 50%
  • Rework reduced by 15% - 20%
  • Idle and overtime reduced 40% - 60%
