Monthly Highlights from the SAP User Experience Community
Before many of us around the world power down our laptops and turn off our devices (I hope) in anticipation of the coming holiday
season, I would like to share my December highlights from the SAP User Experience Community with you.
The SAP User Experience Community is a public community dedicated to the exchange of ideas and knowledge about design and user experience. The Community is for everyone interested in design and user experience, so join the conversation!
In Skill up on design and user experience:

- In Part 1 – Agile UX: Understanding the Agile World from a UX Perspective Lydia summarizes the background and basics of agile and lean and how they
contributed to the rise of agile UX. - In Part 2 – Agile UX: Designing the User Experience in an Agile World Lydia moves away from the theory and tells you more about her practical and personal experiences working with these methods.

This article presents ways to handle the most common objections and discusses what can be done despite the challenges.
- Gloria Costa has published a Design & Co-Innovation Center Year Review of 2014’s successes – complete with a very nice-looking infographic.
- In the post called A Living Christmas Card for Berlin, Stef Huber writes about a special Christmas celebration event that took place at SAP’s Berlin office.
- In Design@Business: Let’s Take Our Company out of the Stone Age And into a UX Designer’s Paradise!, Susanne Kreuz elaborates on the first Design@Business event at the AppHaus in Heidelberg where 14 UX designers from 7 European companies joined the Design & Co-Innovation Center at SAP to share experiences, learnings, and best practices.
- SAP Receives an Honourable Mention at the DME Awards! − SAP was awarded with an honourable mention from the
Design Management Europe Award (DME) for outstanding strategic design activities.
And of course check out our Discussion Forum for lots of interesting thoughts and tips about design and UX.
I hope you find this post of highlights useful, but keep in mind that it is not comprehensive of all the activity on the community during the last month. Checkout the SAP User Experience Community to discover the interesting contributions that I left out of this post!
And finally, to wrap up, two links that do not lead to the SAP User Experience Community, but instead to UX Magazine: a look ahead with their list of top UX predictions for 2015 and a look back at the year gone by with their top UX trends of 2014.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
All the very best,
Esther
