Hi,

This document is all about how to create .esf file manually for Text/CSV file to fill selections of Data Manager Package.

This will be helpful when you want to selectively load lots of Dimension members values while running a Data Manager Package.

1. Log on to EPM Excel client, In Data Manager Tab, Click on Run Package

Absolutely useless, sorry! Answer files are not very useful in general (you have to load them each time). But what is the reason to use UJFS to dounload, edit and upload – instead of simply saving the new esf file from DM screen????

      Hi Vadim,

      Thanks for your comment.

The reason to download the esf file is to get the format for the user who is going to use it first time.

And it’s very necessary when you have a list 200-300 or more master data members and you have to fill the prompt by those members by manually searching it from Selection window one by one, so in that case it is very good to upload esf file. Just append all members by comma separation which we want to fill in selection.

      Thanks,

      Rishi

If you need to manually select 200-300 members from member selection – then definitely there is something wrong with you master data setup, no correct parents or properties defined…
