Digital Personnel Profile (DPF) and It’s advantages.
What is Digital Personnel Profile (DPF)?
It’s a central storage of all the documents of the employee within the company which are related to the work related, remuneration, legal documents, certificated etc. DPF is a part of PA-AS (HR Admin Services) business package which can be either used independently or also part of the HCM Process and Forms component. DPF functionality is based of SAP’s Record Management and need some prerequisite work in the Record Management.
Advantages of Digital Personnel Profile

Retention management is automated. |
Hasn't SAP somewhat pulled back from this solution (moreso, anything based on "Records Management"...since renamed to "SAP NetWeaver Folders Management") and are more actively pushing solutions like those from OpenText (other companies like XFT GmbH offer solutions too)? DPF has a history of technical issues as well that would make me hesitant to use it unless under the most simplistic and ideal situations.
Aside from that...thanks for blogging! Keep it up!
So what is SAP roadmap for DPF ?
Anyone?
