Checking the actual status of a work item at the R/3 system

Hi all

Sometimes we might have problems with regards to items not leaving the UWL after we act upon them, even after having configured the Refresh of Completed Items functionality. In such a case, one would expect to have the items removed from the UWL.

Something that has to be kept in mind is that we must ensure in such a case that the item is really COMPLETED at the back end system.

For that purpose, following note was written:

2109969 – Refresh of Completed Items do not work – Is the work item really completed?

Basically, it goes through a step by step for checking the status of the work item at the back end, in order to be sure that it is indeed COMPLETED. In case its status is anything BUT completed, than even with the Refresh of Completed Items configured and working, the item won’t disappear from the worklist.
