Cement producer Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC), which operates in Mexico and the United States, has become a pioneer in Latin America with the inauguration of
the SAP Operation Control Center (OCC). The unit's prime objective is to monitor infrastructure, applications and business processes to detect and solve in a proactive way situations that could affect GCC's operation. Four years ago, the company implemented solutions backed up by the Premium support "Active Embedded," later adopting the methodology "Run Like a Factory" and the design of its Operation Control Center. Thanks to the joint effort, the OCC is now a reality, leveraging an automated operation which
includes 54 alerts and six productive systems that cover the need of centralized and proactive monitoring processes, with special attention in technical and business aspects, necessary to secure operative continuity.
