As part of SAP and InsideView’s commitment to providing the most powerful and secure market intelligence platform, InsideView is implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) user authentication to access InsideView within your SAP Cloud for Customer system effective immediatelypreviously only required in a browser environment.

How will this effect your SAP Cloud for Customer environment?

·      If your organization generally controls user identity via Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), InsideView can be configured in your self-service protocol and customer IDP as a relying party.  You may want to ask your IT department to set up SAML for your organization. A comprehensive set of instructions for doing this can be found here: https://kb.insideview.com/hc/en-us/articles/203062746

·      Otherwise, if your SAP Cloud for Customer environment does not have a mechanism for SSO, InsideView will ask your users to log in with their InsideView user ID (email) and password. Once a user logs in to InsideView, the permission will be stored in a cookie so that the user will not be asked to log in again for 30 days (unless the cookie is deleted). If a user forgets his or her password, the InsideView login screen will provide a link to reset it. Sushant, I like to see a working example of the first method – using SAML.  The context and terminology in the article is not an exact match for C4C.

Let’s say C4C already have SSO working with its IDP.  What are the next steps ?

Do we edit the InsideView mashup ?  Or do we edit the IDP or add a new IDP ?

Any tips from a working example would be helpful.  Thanks.
