SuccessFactors November 2014 Release Highlights

Do you often search for things you want to order, e.g. at Amazon? Aren’t you happy to get some suggestions as soon as you type the first letters so you can scroll down and just select the item you are looking for? I love this functionality.

You now can search across SuccessFactors® HCM Suite. Our Enhanced Search Engine enables you to do a similar search experience as you are used to having on the internet. This search engine helps you to find employees by just starting to type the name of an employee in the search box. Additionally, you can also trigger actions very easily by entering a search term and getting a proposal of possible actions related to this search term. You can just select the appropriate action from the list of proposals.

But, this is not all. With the 1411release we deliver a lot of new impactful features, new user interfaces as well as continuous improvements across the SuccessFactors® HCM Suite.

Payroll process managers can now see a clear status overview of all payroll processes within the organization by using the new payroll control center of our Employee Central Payroll solution.

Get your employees easily paid with the Employee Central payroll time sheet. Employees are able to record working time and other attendance types in the payroll time sheet. The system will calculate hours worked and will determine overtime based on configured rules regarding overtime per day or week based on your business rules. Pay components are available to other payroll systems via API.

In addition we delivered exciting things for our Talent Management solution. E.g. you now can download more than 15 talent analytics tiles, which can easily be added to your home pages and enable you to have a quick look into the talent process status across all our Talent solutions.

Do you want to reduce your learning costs? Use our new open content network, which is part of our Learning solution. With the open content network, your learners can now easily access the great content of Massive Online Open Courses (MOOC) at reduced cost.

By using the new onboarding experience of SuccessFactors Mobile solution for iPad, recruiting managers can now simply assign buddies and recommend colleagues to new hires, even while on the go. In addition, recruiting managers can set up meetings and create to-do lists.

In addition, we delivered a manager cockpit for the iPad. With this your managers can have a look at their complete organization. With the possibility of navigating to deeper levels, they can even see who is out of office as well as whose birthday is on that day helping them better engage with the team.

Enjoy a fresh new user interface with our SAP Jam. Finding information is now faster than ever. Furthermore, Jam can now be integrated with Microsoft Lync instant messaging software. And, a new mobile app for iOS is available, which delivers an optimized experience for faster access to nformation, people and content.

For our customers using SAP ERP HCM we offer packaged integrations. With this you now can connect the SAP ERP HCM with the variable pay functionality within SuccessFactors. You can also send position and position assignment information from SuccessFactors Employee Central to SAP ERP HCM.

Please note that for customers on the Premium release schedule; these features will be available January 10, 2015. For Professional Edition customers, some features may not be available or may become available at a later date.

      coming from the learning field i really like the open content network. It makes it easy to integrate open courses like from coursera, Lynda or HPI to learning plans. Every Learning & Development practicioneer should think about which open courses to preselect & recomend to their internal audiences....
