The Brazilian paper group Suzano has just implemented the new SAP HANA in-memory base, allowing much faster access to stored data. The implementation was realized with the help of the Brazilian subsidiary of Capgemini as part of a contract signed in August 2013. Seven months were required to achieve the migration from the management system SAP R/3 (4.7) to SAP ERP 6.0. The server platforms, hosted in a data center operated by CGI, were also changed to accommodate SAP HANA. The end stage of the project, data migration (including export / import) to the HANA database, lasted 6 hours. In total, the changeover to the new platform took place over a week (76 hours).
