Delta DTP’s to Cube not getting triggered manually nor working after repeat after HANA DB Migration

The below issue was faced after the database migration from Oracle to HANA in BW system.

Issue: The DTP’s which were loading the data to cube were failing with the below short dump MESSAGE_TYPE_X. When we manually tried to run the DTP, the DTP was not getting triggered. Even repeat option was not working . This issue occured only for the Delta DTP’s to cube. The DTP’s to the same cube were working for full update. Delta DTP’s should run with zero records but all of them are leading to dump.

Analysis: This kind of issue occurs due to upgrade from 7.0 to 7.3.Note 1838739 describes the issue, and how this can be checked. Note 1633303 describes the solution. A function module (RSDDTREX_AFTER_UPGRADE_70X_73X) has to run to clear incorrect entries in RSMDATASTATE.

Solution: Note 1838739 and  Note 1633303 was implemented in the system. Then we ran the Delta DTP’s and they executed successfully.
