Google Search Trends – Data Geek 2014 entry

Here is my (long due) entry to the Data Geek Challenge 2014.

After downloading multiple Google Search Trend data as CSV, I was finally able to compile a single data set that I can visualize. The story script has been uploaded to the Lumira cloud. Please have a look and share your comments.

Conclusions

* People still google the term facebook first before landing on facebook.com 😛

* VW stole some popularity from BMW in 2013 when compared to 2012 in Germany

* Whatsapp surge in interest among Indians in 2013

* While Canada, Germany and India are obsessed with a single sport (hockey, football and cricket respectively), at least U.S.A sport fans are diverse

Yet to explore the extension options offered by Lumira. But I can say I’m already impressed.

Great tool, multiple complex possibility with ultimate ease to use.
