On 22 October 2014, two students got the unique chance to accompany COO SAP Austria Gerhard Zeiner through a day of knowledge sharing and exciting appointments.

During the day they received information about the company, the product portfolio as well as innovation and creative working at SAP, joined appointments with prospective customers and visited the pitch for SAP's social start-up program "Social Impact Start" at Impact Hub Vienna.

Gerhard Zeiner concludes: "We had the chance to draw and establish a new picture of SAP in the shadowees' minds and to communicate it in a very personal way. The personal value for me was a helpful reflection about myself, what I am responsible for, what I do, how I get things done and what is special about it, in particular answering the students' questions. Our three main topics were innovation, creative working and networking, both internally and externally.”

Students' Feedback

The Leader for a Day event was my best corporate workshop so far. The opportunity to accompany an executive like Gerhard Zeiner and ask him various questions is truly unique. (Claudia) This day changed her mind about SAP and emphasized how important passion and the fit between job, corporate culture and the team is.

It helped me to see SAP as a great place to work and made the benefits stand out." (Florian) Gerhard taught him how important it is to know yourself, define your goals and create the right environment for personal and professional development.
