Objective

This document is aimed to explain how to connect the iPad/iPhone iOS 7 or higher that is installed with SAP B1 mobile application 1.10.x  to Laptop (Server Standalone) that is installed with SAP B1 9.0 PL14.

Prerequisite

  • SAP B1 9.0 PL14 and SQL 2012 installed in the Laptop as server standalone, e.g. win 7 Pro/Ultimate/Enterprise x64
  • SAP B1 for mobile application 1.10.x or lower version
  • SAP B1 integration component 9.0 PL14
  • iPad or iPhone with iOS 7.0 and Higher Version

1. Create Wireless Window Ad Hoc Network

  • Click Starts --> Type Ad Hoc in the Search Programs and Files

        See the picture belows as the result

  • Click Next in the window "Set up a Wireless Ad Hoc Network"
  • Enter the network name, e.g. SAPB1
  • Select WEP as security type
  • Enter the password or security key
  • Tick the "SAve this Network"
  • Click Next until finish
  • Check the SAPB1 network status by clicking network icon in the task bar. The status SAPB1 ad hoc should be "Waiting For User / Disconnected"

2. Configure iPad / iPhone

        After downloading SAP B1 mobile application 1.10.x , open the iPad, Tap Settings > Tap Business One.

        Do the same configuration as belows:

        Web Service

        Server : ad hoc IP Address:8443

        SSL : ON

        Enforce certificate Check : Off

        Logon Settings

        company db : Demo

        User Code    : manager

        Phone Num  : 6577788822

        Email Device ID : Off

       Demo

        Demo system : Off

        Demo server : Germany

        Version : 1.x.x

         Show EULA : Off

3. Configure Mobile User in SAP B1 and Assign License for Mobile User

      1. Mobile User

      

  • Mark the user with Mobile User check
  • Enter the mobile for Number, e.g. 222
  • Enter the mobile device ID, for iOS 7 and higher version, you can get it directly in the iPad or iPhone. It is not MAC or UDID anymore

       Here is an example:

3.2. Assign License

               Assign a license B1i and a SAP B1 license professional for all of mobile users set in the part 2.1.

4. B1DI and JDBC Test Connections

Integration framework setting or configuration must be checked and make sure all connections and configuration required have been OK

  • Open the Integration framework from Starts --> All Programs --> Integration Solution for SAP Business One
  • Use the address: https://servername:8443/xxx
  • Logon using B1iadmin and enter the password
  • In the SLD, make sure the B1DI connection and JDBC connection are successfull

5. SAP B1i Mobile Activation

  • Open the Integration framework from Starts --> All Programs --> Integration Solution for SAP Business One
  • Use the address: https://servername:8443/xxx
  • Logon using B1iadmin and enter the password
  • Click “Scenarios” > Click “Control” and tick sap.B1Mobile
  • Under the "Scenarios", click "Setup" > Check if the Status is active or Not Active. Status must be Active.

6. Connecting iPad to Ad Hoc Network


  • In the iPad, Tap “Settings”
  • Tap Wi-Fi > in the DEVICES, tap ad hoc network "SAPB1"
  • Enter the credential to join and then tap "Join"
  • After that, check the connection status of ad hoc "SAPB1" by clicking network icon in taskbar of the Laptop . The status should be "Connected"
  • Test the network connection from laptop to mobile device

        - Open iPad and tap Settings

        - Tap Wi-Fi and then Tap SAPB1 under the Wi-Fi

        - Check IP Address in the DHCP column

        - Open the command prompt in the Laptop and Ping the IP Address of the iPad

        - There should be "Reply..." appears as the result of Ping


7. Check the IP Address of The Laptop

     After iPad is successfully connected to ad hoc, the user should check the IP Address of Laptop. The Laptop IP address will be used in the server

     configuration in the iPad.

     - Open the command prompt in the Laptop

     - Type "ipconfig"

     - Press Enter

     - Check IPv4 address of “Wireless Network Connection”

     - IP Address should be exists. Ex. 199.222.90.123

      The IP Address of the Laptop is entered in the Business One Screen of iPad > web Service > field Server.

After step 7 is finished, and IP address of Laptop is entered in the server field, the SAP B1 mobile application 1.10.x can open the SAP B1 9.0 PL14 database in the Laptop.

Here are the print screen to login and the logon result:

1. Open the Business One Login screen, by Tap icon Business One in the iPad

    Enter the password that is set in the SAP B1 application in the Laptop
