Efficiency Of SAP Solutions For Mining Industry Issues
Over the last two years, the Indonesian mining industry has been suffering from a slump in coal prices, as well as legislation regulating the export of raw minerals since January 2014. As a result, many mining companies aiming to reduce costs – among them Freeport and Newmont – have turned to SAP in order to increase their efficiency. According to Daniel Nimmo, VP for Energy and Natural Resources Industries at SAP Asia Pacific, SAP’s cloud solutions are not only used for mining machinery or equipment, but also, for example, in the fields of employee management, thus helping companies achieve their targets.
