I just to write one small document regarding enabling of Change Documents Log for a specification in EHS Specification Management. If you have not done the below mentioned settings, the Change Document Log menu under Extras menu will be in disabled status as shown in the below screen.

Now, try making some change in the Specification and go to table EST_CHANGE_DOCS, you should be able to see the changes.

      Hello

good idea to start such a document. The topic is addressed on "very low level" here.

Please extend your document. A lot of steps are not mentioned and with out them it will not work. Keep in mind. you have a lot of EHS tables and not only ESTVA

On top: as far as I can remember: the "Change document log" can be used only on hit list; not on detail screen (as in your case). On the top. clearly: RC1_CHANGE_DOCS_GET need to be scheduled regularly (this should not be an user activity).

      May be check

SAP program RC1_CHANGE_DOCS_GET - EHS: Read Change Documents for the Specifications

      https://www.consolut.com/en/s/sap-ides-access/d/s/doc/YY-EHS_MD_110_05_13

      https://www.consolut.com/en/s/sap-ides-access/d/s/doc/D-RC1_CHANGE_DOCS_GET

Environment variables for creating change docs do not exist

      As mentioned in

Creation of Change Documents for Specifications - Basic Data and Tools (EHS-BD) - SAP Library

you need to prepare additional customizing: "In Customizing for Basic Data and Tools under Specify Context Fields for Creation of Change Documents you can specify which context information is displayed on the objects that are determined in the creation of change documents log for specifications (such as identifier, material assignment, transport approval)."

On top you need to prepare customizing entries for parametrs like: CD_PROTOCOL*

Refer to: Change Log and references there in to other threads

      C.B.

Hello, please be careful. This post instructions are wrong.

For EHS Change document log is only enough to set job RC1_CHANGE_DOCS_GET  and to set-up SPRO Environment parameters for CD_PROTOCOL*as stated in previous comment.

If you set also SAP 'standard' change log via RCCLUKA2 you will get in troubles as SAP will no more use table ESAUSP for storing numeric values.

This post should be removed !
