Smart Business Cockpit with Lumira – Lumira is Fiori Friendly #SAPtd

This is session EA105 from SAP TechEd && d-code Las Vegas.  The replay is at http://events.sap.com/teched/en/session/13560

At first, I can’t see the video, only the sound but as the video proceeds, I can see the slides again.  Note the usual legal disclaimer applies that things in the future are subject to change.

Figure 1 shows you need data to make the right decisions and need to respond to business situations.

Today we use off line tools to manage KPI’s

You want to make decisions based on scenarios and simulations

70% of effort in analytics is preparing the information

“Consumer experience is the new standard for enterprise applications” – a big challenge for SAP, which is why SAP rolled out Fiori design principles

Figure 2 shows some of the features of Smart Business Cockpit.  It is responsive because it is built with UI5 it automatically adapts to the screen size you have

Smart Business is based on Suite on HANA (OLAP + OLTP) which is one system, so you are avoiding 2 systems

It is personalized to tailor your KPI’s (150 KPI’s for 15 roles).  You can create your own KPI’s

Two ways to use:

  1. Keep SAP system as is, replicate to HANA as a side-car and put Smart Business on top
  2. Run as an integrated scenario with HANA as a database

How does this work with Lumira?

A Fiori Launchpad is needed for Smart Business

It is a role based entry point based on HTML5

You need SAPUI5 as part of the components

There is theming and branding.
