Discovery services is an unofficial term that is used to help generate visualizations

Previously we were limited by processing and storage of data.  Today with self-service BI we can ask why something happened as we have larger cheaper storage and faster processing.  Lumira can target small and large amounts of data, and you can clean and enrich data

Some other things I learned:

  • Heatmap is a way of categorizing large amounts of data
  • Use a story to share a set of conclusions
  • Discovery is related visualization, give you several chart types

Two ways to use the discovery services within Lumira, shown in the video below:

Related visualizations give you a jump start on your analysis.

Influencer Analysis

Select a measure and then “run the analysis” to determine what is influencing it.

Then you are given the top influencers of auto loan amount:
