ThyssenKrupp Opts For SAP’s Ariba Software
German multinational industrial conglomerate ThyssenKrupp has announced plans to transfer its logistics and payment systems to an integrated platform provided by Ariba, a SAP-company. With the switch to the Ariba platform, ThyssenKrupp aims to make processes more efficient and reduce costs. Klaus-Hardy Mühleck, CIO of ThyssenKrupp, is driving a project that aims to automate tasks and transfer them to intelligent software solutions. As a portal for business-to-business transactions, Ariba is the perfect match for such a restructuring, explained Mühleck. SAP had acquired the U.S. software company Ariba in 2012.
