TechEd preview of SAP Screen Personas sessions
In my first half hour here at TechEd in Las Vegas, one thing has become very clear – there is lots of excitement about SAP Screen Personas. Here is a quick summary of my first three conversations.
- (with two partners) “SAP Screen Personas 3.0 sounds really cool. I can’t wait to try it. One of my customers is live on version 2 and is seeing some great productivity improvements.”
- (with customer involved in co-innovation of version 1) “Sounds like SAP Screen Personas 3.0 is perfect for what we want to do. I want to do something as soon as it becomes generally available.”
- (with check-in person in speaker lounge) “Wow, all your sessions are really packed. 205 people added your hands-on session to their agenda. There are only 80 seats. That will be interesting.”
If this is an indicator of how things will go during the rest of the week, it will be an action-packed, interesting, and really fun week. Here is what we have planned to get the word out on SAP Screen Personas:
Tuesday
A full roster of expert networking sessions, all of them occurring in Lounge 7 on the show floor
11:30 AM Tobias Queck will demo the all-new SAP Screen Personas 3.0 and answer your architectural questions.
2:00 PM Peter Spielvogel and Ira Feinberg of SAP Partner Return on Intelligence will discuss the screen simplification process and share a framework for determining where to expect the great return on your investment.
3:00 PM Tobias Queck will demo responsive design in SAP Screen Personas 3.0 and discuss how to do this.
4:00 PM Patrick Conklin of Kiewit will share some SAP Screen Personas screens they have deployed and talk about their development and user validation process.
5:00 PM Sebastian Steinhauer will discuss the design decisions we made for SAP Screen Personas 3.0. He will show how a simplified screen renders in SAP GUI for Windows 7.40, which was one of the key drivers for our project.
All the expert sessions are designed to share information with you about SAP Screen Personas. If there is something else you want to hear about, just ask during the session.
Wednesday
8:00 AM-10:00 AM UXP203 SAP Screen Personas 3.0 Overview. We will show all the main functions and have a guest speaker to reveal our “one more thing”.
11:00 AM – 11:45 AM Join the SAP Screen Personas product team in the Fiori Café (on the show floor) for a Q&A session in which we will discuss how all the SAP user experience pieces fit together to help you provide a more intuitive user experience to your employees.
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM UXP263 SAP Screen Personas 3.0 hands-on session. There will be 30 laptops which will have two people per station. If you registered for this event, I recommend you show up on time (or early) to ensure you do not lose your seat. If you did not register, you should attend UXP203, which has 300 seats in the room.
4:30 PM – 5:00 PM Live from the ASUG studio on the show floor, SAP Screen Personas customers Patrick Conklin of Kiewit and Shane Kelly of RA Chisholm will be interviewed by Peter Spielvogel. The discussion topics will include how they deployed the product, overcame roadblocks, and empowered their end users with more intuitive screens.
Thursday
8:00 AM-10:00 AM UXP203 SAP Screen Personas 3.0 Overview. The “one more thing” will not be a surprise, but it will still be just as compelling to our SAP Screen Personas customers (and those companies that own the licenses but have not used them yet).
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM UXP263 SAP Screen Personas 3.0 hands-on session. Please arrive on time or risk losing your spot.
Please stop by and introduce yourself.
For the SAP Screen Personas product team, Peter Spielvogel.
Hi Peter,
Do you have copies of the Expert session presentations? Specifically, I believe it is the EXP17606 presentation that I am looking for. A customer showed screen shots of several role-based dashboards they created with Personas (several SMEN flavors). They presented in Lounge 7 following the Tue 2:00 presentation by Return on Intelligence.
