          Hi Carola,

Really sorry for the delay. I just got an update from Lotus Admin team, here’s the update that I have received “The users will be able to install Add-on , from their client if its available for them.”

          Hope this helps. Thanks

          Regards,

      Hi Angelo,

Yes, it should work. The Add-in provided in the form of plugin for Lotus Notes. So you have to install this plugin (java based) as you install like any other plugins. Ideally it should work for Mac the same way as windows platform.

      Thanks,

      Prasad

Please note the prerequisites section where it states that only Windows is supported as of the moment. Hence, the plugin will not work on the Mac OS platform. Thank you,

        Hi Prasad, hi Pushkar

We checked it out and it works on MAC. The MAC is with OSX 10.10.1 and Lotus Notes 9.0.1FP2. It should work with Notes 8.5 as well told my IT guy.

It synchronized contacts, activities and opportunities (see screenshot).

        Best regards

        Angelo

          Hi Angelo,

Thanks for the confirmation and it really helps me. When I was looking at the plugin files, it is a bundled as a .jar (Java archive) and since Lotus client is built on java, I was expecting this to work as well. But it is good to get the confirmation from you.

Appreciate your confirmation on the same. Thanks

          Regards,

          Prasad

    Hi Prasad.

I’m having troubles with the Lotus Notes add in. When I want to log on in Lotus Notes a message appears showing that my authentication failed. First I thought that it was an error with the configuration of the add in, so I uninstalled and installed it again with the same configuration that this document describes, but the problem persists. I double check my credentials but there is no error here because I can log on in the web tenant without any trouble. Can you help me please? I don’t know what is wrong, 2 weeks before I was working just fine on this add in.

This is the message that appears when I want to log on.

Thank you for your help and best regards!

      Hi Felipe,

Thanks for reaching out to me. Based on your issue description, I can think of the following place holders you can troubleshoot.

      1. Please verify the URL. it should not contain https://sso.<tenant>.com. It should be https://my<tenant#.crm.ondemand.com>. I hope its correct based on the screenshot but check it out.

      2. Alternatively, click Settings on SAP Cloud for Customer Right Panel on Lotus notes and check verify the SAP system URL and user credentials. You can also check connectivity by clicking the button.

      3. As far as Lotus login concern, you don’t need any business config or special access rights. As long as you have the tenant access, you should be able to logon on this plugin as well.

It appears that it was working but it stopped very recently. May be it is worth to check the is there any version upgrade on Lotus notes. Also check the prerequisites for Lotus version change.

Hope this helps. Please try and let us know. Thanks

      Regards,

      Prasad

    Hi Prasad.

Thank you for your quick response and comments. The URL of my tenant and my credentials are good, I checked in the web interface and I can Log on without any problems to my production and test tenants. Here is a screen shot of the configuration of the add in.

    add in configuration problems.png

Apparently there are troubles with the connectivity. One issue could be that my company manage web access restrictions for internal security and they block some web pages. How can I fix this?

Thank you very much for your help!

      Hi Felipe,

I have just checked my settings and I am getting the same error too.

I guess, it is better to raise an incident with SAP. To me this appears to be a issue between Notes and C4C communication.

@Pushkar, let me know your thoughts/comments. Thanks

      Thanks,

      Prasad

      Hi Felipe,

Looks like SAP release new plugin version for 1411 build, hence it is required to uninstall the existing or upgrade the plug-in with the new one.

You can download and update the same. It will work for you and I have tested it from my end. Hope this helps and thanks.

      Regards,

      Prasad

        Hi Prasad.

I just uninstalled and download again the same way. This time the add in worked just fine.

Thank you very much for your help!

    Recommended best practice:

Please remember to have the latest plugin installed be it the Outlook plugin or any of the other plugins as they generally get refreshed for each release (every 3 months) and especially if there is a functional enhancement to a specific plugin.

    Thank you.

I agree. Also submitted an idea to push the Add-in or notification about the new version once the client connects to the Tenant. This will avoid the time to invest in troubleshooting.

      Thanks,

      Prasad
