On the 22nd and 25th of September 2014, Kwena Mabotja visited Strathmore University. She was hosted at Strathmore’s iLab, where she was greeted by Ivan Sang, Sharon Mustiya and Elizabeth Wamicha.
Strathmore is one of Kenya’s top universities situated in Nairobi. Strathmore University is a private university based in Nairobi, Kenya. Strathmore College was started in 1961, as an Advanced level sixth form College offering science and arts subjects, by a group of professionals who formed a charitable educational trust.
Strathmore is home to iLab Africa which is a Research Centre under the Faculty of Information Technology. @iLabAfrica was established in January 2011 to spearhead research, innovation and entrepreneurship in the ICT for Development (ICT4D) ecosystem towards the attainment of the UNDP Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Kenya’s Vision 2030.
Kwena visited Strathmore to align with them on the progress of their ESEFA affiliation and to introduce the SAP Dual Study Program which is being planned for implementation in Africa. The Dual Study Program combines university theoretical studies with the opportunity to take SAP certification during the academic year. This creates a rich pool of employable graduates who are empowered to find jobs, providing much needed skills to our partners and customers.
