SAP has many organically developed customer solutions. It also has the most innovative technology based on in-Memory application, HANA, and the complete ERP solutions based on HANA platform, including ERP, business suite, analytic, mobile applications etc.,
With the speed which the industry is adapting new technologies on cloud based customer solutions, SAP has been making many strategic acquisitions which help it to further its interest towards meeting its vision and commitment at the same time, expand the customer base.
Here is the list of companies that SAP acquired in the last few years.
October 2007 – BusinessObjects
Company that provide performance management, planning, reporting, query and analysis and enterprise information management including Mobile reporting
February 2009 – Coghead
Acquired the intellectual property assets – helped SAP arrive at the River Definition language (RDL), which creates the artifacts for HANA platform from the description of the entity relationship model
May 2010 – Sybase
Enterprise software and services company with relational databases, analytics and data warehousing solutions and mobile-application development platforms.
December 2011 – SuccessFactors
Cloud solutions for Human Resources / Human Capital Management
April 2012 – Syclo

Cloud based Vendor Management System (VMS) – the leading technology provider for procuring and managing contingent labor and services. Provides a business platform for managing their entire workforce in combination with Ariba and SuccessFactors
September 2014 – Concur Technologies
Cloud based Time and Expense platform – majority of current SAP customers are future combined SAP/Concur potentials. Travel, invoicing, payment to vendors and reimbursement to employees of any company that use these solutions combined with SAP backend will just be easy and quick.
