Dear BI users around the globe..

For all those that feared BI4.1 being the end station of the well know and beloved SAP BusinessObjects BI Suite, some interesting news have been shared by Steve Lucas during the ASUG User Conference (SABOC)

To be clear: Yes there will be a BusinessObjects BI 4.2,” Lucas announced, “and it will be in 2015.” He promised some major enhancements, such as in administration, ease of use and live streaming of data. “Above all else,” he said, “the No. 1 feature will be quality.”

Good news. Is there going to be a Customer Evaluation (CuV) for BI 4.2 like we had for BI 4.1? Where can we sign up?

      Hi,

Currently the maintenance schedules (https://support.sap.com/release-upgrade-maintenance/package-stack-schedules.html) only go up to Q3 2015 for BusinessIntelligence.

Furthermore, nothing is available yet via the support ramp-up page https://support.sap.com/software/rampup.html

I would pencil-in timelines for a validation.. possibly towards the end of 2015 or later.

      Regards,
      H
