I am very pleased to officially announce the release of Phase 3 of SAP BI Pattern Books project with two comprehensive books on getting our customers to SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 release.
In this third phase of the BI Pattern Book project, we focused on two key topics to help our customers, partners and our own SAP internal teams to
perform upgrade to the latest release of SAP BusinessObjects BI platform;
- How to successfully Upgrade from SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 release to SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 release
- How to successfully Update from SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 release to SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 release
Getting into SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 release is more than a technical upgrade. So what can we do to help our customers upgrade to the latest release easier and faster? With that in mind, our main objectives of Phase 3 were;
- To focus on helping our customers, partners and internal colleagues by developing an instruction manual with step by step instructions using live BI environments on how to best upgrade the BI Platform on Windows operating system for a particular pattern of real world deployment scenario
- List the challenges, tips & tricks, provide guidelines and highlight the best practices around Upgrade & Update that includes existing SCN articles, KBAs and SAP Notes etc.
