MRP Stock days’ Supply and Receipt Days’ Supply

Stock days’ Supply and Receipt Days’ Supply

Stock days Supply:

How many Work Days the stock will cover the requirements by considering Only Plant Stock. If safety stock is maintained System will consider stock quantity till its fall below the safety stock .

Receipt day Supply 1/ Receipt days Supply 2:

How many Work Days the current stock, Planed and Confirmed receipts will cover the requirements (Depends upon IMG setting) i.e Planned orders. Production orders, PR, PO, Schedule lines etc. (Can be controlled via IMG)

Formula for Calculating Days Supply and Receipt day’s Supply:

Day’s Supply:

[ (Last requirement date which cause negative ATP qty by considering only stock Current date) -1 day ] + (Last Stock ATP qty which is not negative) / Requirement qty. which cause Negative ATP qty)

A + B

A =   Number of Days requirements will be covered sufficiently
B =   Day fraction requirements will be covered partially

Receipt day’s Supply:

[ (Last requirement date which cause negative ATP qty by considering stock and receipt  Current date) -1 day ] + (Last Stock ATP qty which is not negative) / Requirement qty. which cause Negative ATP qty)

Example:

Consider below example:

MD04_list.jpg

Calculation of Stock days Supply:

Number of Work days which can be covered by available stock is

    (06-Oct-2014 – 23-Sept-2014) – 1 = 9-1 = 8 days

Day fraction which can be covered by stock on 07-October

19/30 = 0.6333 (On 06-Oct without considering production order qty 20 i.e 39-20 = 19)

Stock Day Supply = 8 + 0.6333 = 8.6

Calculation of Receipt days Supply:

Number of Work days which can be covered by available stock + planned and confirmed receipts is

    (07-Oct-2014 – 23-Sept-2014) – 1 = 10-1 = 9 days

Day fraction which can be covered by stock on 07-October

9/21 = 0.428 (On 07-Oct by considering production order qty)

Receipt Day Supply = 9 + 0.428 = 9.4

      Hello

We can customize ,what are the receipts need to be consider in second receipt DS in IMG.

Generally, First DS will consider only confirmed receipts and Second DS consider both planned and confirmed receipts.

      Regards,

      Hello,

I have  in MD04 two different values.

In field stock days supply -7,0. This  value will every day bigger.Negative_stock_days_supply.JPG

      Actual coverage is positiv 4,5

      positiv_actual_coverage.JPG

I have calculated stock days supply with your  formula. but I get positiv value. The same value  like actual coverage .... 4,5.

Why we have a negative value in stock days supply?

      How can I find  it?

      Thx and br,

      Ilkin
