How many Work Days the stock will cover the requirements by considering Only Plant Stock. If safety stock is maintained System will consider stock quantity till its fall below the safety stock .
How many Work Days the current stock, Planed and Confirmed receipts will cover the requirements (Depends upon IMG setting) i.e Planned orders. Production orders, PR, PO, Schedule lines etc. (Can be controlled via IMG)
Day’s Supply:
[ (Last requirement date which cause negative ATP qty by considering only stock – Current date) -1 day ] + (Last Stock ATP qty which is not negative) / Requirement qty. which cause Negative ATP qty)

B = Day fraction requirements will be covered partially
Receipt day’s Supply:
[ (Last requirement date which cause negative ATP qty by considering stock and receipt – Current date) -1 day ] + (Last Stock ATP qty which is not negative) / Requirement qty. which cause Negative ATP qty)
Consider below example:
Number of Work days which can be covered by available stock is
(06-Oct-2014 - 23-Sept-2014) - 1 = 9-1 = 8 days
Day fraction which can be covered by stock on 07-October
19/30 = 0.6333 (On 06-Oct without considering production order qty 20 i.e 39-20 = 19)
Stock Day Supply = 8 + 0.6333 = 8.6
Number of Work days which can be covered by available stock + planned and confirmed receipts is
(07-Oct-2014 - 23-Sept-2014) - 1 = 10-1 = 9 days
Day fraction which can be covered by stock on 07-October
9/21 = 0.428 (On 07-Oct by considering production order qty)
Receipt Day Supply = 9 + 0.428 = 9.4
