The usual Legal Disclaimer applies that things in the future are subject to change.  SAP presented this at yesterday’s ASUG BusinessObjects Conference.  My notes are not complete as the hotel experienced AV issues so we didn’t see any slides 25 minutes into the presentation.

    Hi Tammy

Thanks for the updates – I am a keen follower of your postings

What is the future for Live Office? will it be eventually be replaced by Analysis for Office or will it be kept as an independent BO product?

Do you know what is SAP’s timeline for the integration of Live Office into Analysis for office>

Reason for asking is that our company is busy with product development and the features of Live Office fits our requirement perfectly. I am however concerned about the long term sustainability of our product with SAP’s road map for incorporating Live Office into Analysis for Office

Hi – thank you for your kind words

I don’t see Live Office mentioned in the roadmap for Analysis Office (see https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000395262012D.pdf – Service Marketplace logon required)

I did hear this week at BI2015 that SAP will provide .UNX support for Live Office.

Also, from a session I attended, as long as Live Office is shipped with the BI platform it should have 7+2 support; to be honest I have not checked if it is shipped with BI4.1

Since I don’t work for SAP, you might get a better answer asking this as a separate discussion…thank you again.
