2014 brought an experiment to the small group that makes up the core audience of SAP Inside Track New York City: could we co-locate with the ASUG Metro NYC Chapter?  The answer is yes and while our numbers were small, I wouldn't call the day a lost cause.  We had great feedback from the ASUG side and the presenters delivered some excellent content.  We agreed that 2015 will have to be bigger and better.  Of course, we'll need the SAP community to help, too! Please feel free to leave a comment with suggestions of things you would like to see at SITNYC 2015 (or any Inside Track, if you'd like), While we plan for next year, let's recap this year's sessions.  Once again, many thanks to the presenters who came up (and remoted in) to present to a small, but enthusiastic crowd of SAP community members!

John Appleby:  Extending Fiori Launchpad with HANA Live Tiles

  • John gave a great roundtable session that ended up covering all things HANA, Fiori and anything else that came up.  The attendees saw some pretty cool examples of HANA Live Tiles, Fiori Launchpad and whatever John had working on his laptop at the time.   It was pretty cool to see some of the latest SAP technology being used in creative ways.

Greg Myers: SAP Predictive Analysis Overview

  • A first for SITNYC, we saw Greg deliver his presentation virtually!  He definitely keeps you engaged (even virtually) on the topic and there was a lot of good questions from the audience.

Peter McNulty: SAP Operational Process Intelligence powered by SAP HANA

  • This session had some pretty cool demos of HANA Live Tiles, as well as some deeper dives on how companies can speed up their operations.  I thought it was neat to see how those operational processes could be sped up and Peter delivered (like always)!!

Once again, a very public thanks to the presenters who came up to NYC to engage with a small, but enthusiastic crowd! And especially to longtime supporters greg.misiorek (attending in person) and tammy.powlas3 (attending virtually!).  Many thanks to the ASUG NYC Metro Chapter for playing co-host and coordinating the facilities.
