On International Youth Day (August 12), GCA APJ successfully executed a comprehensive Youth program.
In Singapore, Adaire Fox-Martin, President of SAP APJ, hosted 25 of the youngest millennial employees and interns to a breakfast and workshop. During the Design-Thinking workshop, our millennials discussed the topic: “What challenges do pre-tertiary education and social entrepreneurship face in Singapore? How can SAP help solve these issues with its technology and people talent?”.
Some of the initiatives included collaborating with SAP University Alliances, SAP Education and Open SAP, creating awareness of social entrepreneurship and assisting through supportive infrastructures to enhance education and mentorships. These ideas will be critical to start our discussions about the CSR program for Singapore.
Our SAP TV team recorded this session and produced a 3-minute video, where you can find more details about this breakfast/workshop.
On the media relations side, we created a “Discover Asia’s Youth” infographic, providing a snapshot of how youth in Asia are faring in terms of jobs, education, civil participation and mental health. Key coverage includes:
Here’s A Look at Asia’s Youth on Business Insider Singapore, Business Insider Malaysia and Business Insider Indonesia
Celebrate Youth Day with these interesting facts about Asia's young population on Straits Times, STOMP.
This is a milestone for GCA APJ of how we can engage and learn from millennials. We look forward to bringing the youth together more throughout SAP. Our sincere gratitude to Toni, Eugene, Jeanette, Janice, Fan, Sin for putting together new ways to execute integrated communications programs. Great teamwork! To our millennials, see you next time!
