openSAP Enterprise MOOCs Reaches 400,000 Enrollments
Since the start of openSAP, I’ve had the pleasure of being involved in this wonderful journey, along with many of our users who joined us right at the start. I like to reflect upon our achievements each time we reach a new milestone, and today is another one of those days.
The openSAP team is celebrating our 400,000th enrollment!
In the past weeks, we’ve announced seven new courses on a wide range of topics including UX, SAP HANA, Cloud, an introduction to SAP’s innovative solutions, and users continue to enroll in our range of self-paced courses. We also launched an upgraded version of our platform with enhancements such as, subscriptions to discussion threads, a new dashboard featuring “My Courses” and unique links to verify Record of Achievements online. These enhancements took place with thanks to our friends and colleagues at openHPI who support our platform on an ongoing basis.
So far, over 20,000 users have enrolled to learn about SAP’s UX Strategy in a Nutshell with Sam Yen and Introduction to SAP Fiori UX. The course by Sam Yen is a special edition course which is just two hours in duration. The feedback from participants has been overwhelming with many looking forward to learning even more about our UX next week, when Introduction to SAP Fiori UX begins.
Next week also sees the start of Next Steps in SAP HANA Cloud Platform which is our second instalment of the SAP HANA Cloud Platform series. To date, both SAP HANA Cloud Platform courses have over 67,000 users enrolled, while other SAP HANA topics have attracted over 210,000 users. This number is set to increase even further with the follow up to our very first course starting October 7, Next Steps in Software Development on SAP HANA. In the first 24 hours after the announcement, 2,000 users had already enrolled in the course, which sent our figures straight past the 400,000 mark!
We’re excited about what is to come, as we have a few more courses in the pipeline for the remainder of 2014. We’re looking forward to reaching our 500,000th course enrollment and who knows, perhaps there will be a few surprises for you to join the celebrations!
