So what is new in release 1408???
As part of release b1408, we enabled Arabic and Hebrew for MENA countries. Further, the content of name format for 60 different countries was delivered. For details on name format functionality, please click here.
Various enhancements for countries – India, Venezuela, Indonesia, Switzerland, France and Germany were also delivered to strengthen the country specific localizations that we offer.
Apart from adding localization features for above mentioned countries, Integration of Advances and Deductions was delivered. It is now possible to create recurring deductions for an employee as soon as an advance is approved. In addition, we also enhanced the deductions functionality to better the user experience.
And what did we do for my favorite topic, Global Benefits. The answer is a lot in this release. Global Benefits functionality was further enhanced to provide support for exceptional cases when an employee misses an enrollment window or when the claimed amount is more than the eligible amount for reimbursement cases. The solution now also supports the Balance Carry Forward cases when the employee is not able to utilize the full amount during the stipulated period. It is completely configurable in order to decide the maximum amount that can be carry forwarded per period or the total amount that can not be exceeded while taking the balance forward to next period. Upgrade Center, was further enhanced to allow archiving of the legal changes announcements. The system now allows you to archive the announcements/upgrades that you can refer later. Also it is now possible to switch on a complete country version using Upgrade Center with a single click. In b1408, we delivered support for Kazakhstan.
A new redesigned functionality for Payment Information functionality was also delivered and it is already localized for – India, Israel and USA.
Moving to Payroll side, SFSF EC Payroll is further enhanced for Austria, Malaysia, Ireland, Singapore, Russia and South Korea. In addition, employees are now allowed to access the Form-16 in India directly from EC in EC Payroll scenarios.
