Applications developed in eclipse which are hosted in HCP  can be maintained using GIT .

So what is GIT ?

Git  is a source code management (SCM) system with full-fledged repository with complete history and full version-tracking capabilities .

Getting Started with an Example : Import sample Java project HelloWorld

Select the project, click File > Team > Share Project.

Select repository type Git and click Next.

To configure the Git repository select the new project HelloWorld.

Click Create Repository to initialize a new Git repository for the HelloWorld project

Click Team > Commit in the project context menu.

View  History :

Click Team > Show in History from the context menu to inspect the history of a resource:

The History View  shows your last committed change.( click on the Compare View).
