How to mass change and update new characteristic value assigned to set of materials

 

 

Transaction:  CLMM

 

The mass change function lets you change large quantities of  This is very useful if you change your classification of super model & want to extend this changes to all connected models.

 

 

There are
three options available:


 




  1. Copy Values Assigned to Object


You can use this option to copy assigned characteristic values for any object to other objects.


Ex. Copy values from one material to other materials


Specify material from which you want to copy values





 



 



 

 

2) Set and Change Values

 



 



 


Note : The ‘Additional operation for generic change not allowed’ error usually occurs when the target object already has values assigned in material classification (Please see MM02 -> ‘Classification View’ of target object) . Therefore, before copying assigned values, in the ‘Target objs’ tab (in transaction CLMM) the option ‘Overwrite Existing Values’ must be enabled.
