Firefox 31 RRC successfully tested with NetWeaver
Version 31 is officially launched for Windows, Mac and Linux.
The main focus in this version is stability and performance improvements for both desktop and mobile OS platforms along with various developer-related functionality improvements.
For the desktop user, there is an exclusive search field on the new tab page enabling new searches without navigating to the search bar at the top of the screen. Another key enhancement is the ‘Malware detection and Block’ mechanism switched on by default whenever you download files. On desktop Windows, multimedia files with .ogg and .pdf extensions can be run from within the browser.
For developers there are new tools, like the “Add-on Debugger” and ‘Canvas Debugger‘.

Hi Andreas,
nice one, thank you. May I ask you: is the WDA floorplan manager stuff part of such browser tests? And can we assume custom applications (I dont have any deep expertise on that, but regarding concrete case looks like only standard UI is used) using floorplan are automatically running well? Thanks,
best regards to Walldorf
Hi Lawrence,
Yes, FPM is part of the technology test scope to make sure that it's enabled for FF. but you can't derive 100% that every FPM applications runs automatically well with FF. I'd recommend an application test in addition. That's what we do e.g. with the Business Suite.
Kind Regards, Andreas
