Over the years of working in Webdynpro Java,we have been constantly using Transparent Containers,Scroll Containers,Groups,Trays and so on.

But one unique feature or rather to be put in a UI element which i found out about recently was Melting Group.

About Melting Group:It is similar to Transparent Container as it is not visible on UI and has the same structure as about transparent container.

The properties are similar as well as shown below:

Melting Group-(Source -SAP Help)

"MeltingGroup acts like a container and layout at the same time.

It allows only certain items as its content (mainly single-line UI elements like input fields) and arranges them horizontally, without wrapping.

The (relative or absolute) width of the individual items and their separation can be adjusted by means of melting group data."

Try and add a table UI element and it wont give you the option to do so.

I guess that is the reason Melting group was never as constantly used as a transparent container and a group as the latter doesnt restrict the usage of any UI element.

Anyways it is definitely useful in cases where in we will be only  using Single Line UI elements.
