Blog It Forward – Cem Ates
About
I’m SAP Techology Consultant from Turkey. I’ve been working on SAP technologies for 6 years. I’ll not get into much technical details. I’ll list the milestones in my career and then start to talk about more intertesting stuff
– Started my career as IT Administrator at Turkey Big Department Store YKM branch (Gebze and Kutahya) in 2001 started as SAP 2008.
– Joined Hakmar Ekspres in Jan. 2012 started as an new SAP Project and i’m working retail MM-SD-WM Consultant and worked there until May 2014 leave now im freelancer.
Now, let’s talk about 3 major cities that I’ve spent most of my life.
Gebze
I was born and still lives here would also Gebze
Situated 30 miles east of Istanbul on the northern shore of the Sea of Marmara, it is the second largest district of Kocaeli Province after İzmit, the centrum of the province, in terms of population.
Turkey, in terms of economic development is divided into six groups. I highly developed provinces of İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir province of Bursa, Kocaeli and Yalova province is the province. In this context, Gebze, Turkey’s one of the most economically developed are located in six provinces. Gebze Kocaeli province’s GDP also 33.7% creates. 1.69% of Gebze also GDP Turkey ‘s has produced.
Important Locations:
Eskihisar Castle – Osman Hamdi Bey Museum – Hannibal ‘s Tomb – Eskihisar Amphitheatre – Coban Mustafa Pasa Mosque – Sultan’s Fountain – Bazaar Fountain – Eskihisar Fountain – Ballıkayalar – Bosphorus Zoo – Yahya Kaptan monumental tomb – Sultan Orhan mosque.
Foods:
Like most other cities of Turkey, Gebze is famous with delicious food. You can eat one of the most delicious Turkish “Pismaniye” in Gebze-Izmit.
Pismaniye: is a Turkish sweet in fine strands made by blending flour roasted in butter into pulled sugar. It is sometimes garnished with ground pistachio nuts. Although the texture is similar to cotton candy, both method and ingredients are different.
Until recently pişmaniye used to be made at home in most regions of Turkey, but this tradition is now rapidly disappearing. Today the manufacturing process is partially mechanised. There are many different Turkish names used in different provinces, the most common being tel helva, çekme helva, tel tel, tepme helva and keten helva.
Kutahya
I moved to Kutahya when I was 21, to study in Dumlupinar University and working YKM branch IT and Logistic Projects Administrator. I stayed there only for 2 years but probably I’ll always miss these part of my life.
Istanbul
After university, I moved to Gebze and working here.
Last 2 years I still working istanbul 5 working day i’m come here.
Bosphorus Bridge
You can cross from Europe to Asia using the bridge shown in the above picture. Normally, most of you probably suppose that crossing the continents using this bridge is very attractive and funny but unfortunately most of the times it is nightmare for us. Istanbul is a city with very poor public transportation. As a result, most of the time, we have very bad traffic in the city but there are nice things to do in..

Hi Cem, and welcome to the #BIF family!
It's nice to get to know you and your history.
Gebze looks lovely - and as for Pismaniye? What is NOT to like about 'blending flour roasted in butter into pulled sugar' - sounds delicious.
Did you want #blogitforward to anyone? This is your chance to ask them questions like:
1) What superpower would you like to have?
2) If you were a book, what book would you be and why?
3) If you were not involved with SAP, what do you think you'd be doing?
Head on over here, if you haven't already, to complete the BIF Chain.

Hi Cem Ates
I think you missed the concept for blogging it forward.
You have to tag these persons who has not written their BIF yet.
You can see at bottom in my blog Blog it Forward - Dëv Päträ
I have mentioned the name like that
It means you are inviting these peoples to write their BIF.
Here, you have tagged the BIF link, remove the BIF link and add the profile link.
Also do not tag these persons who has already written his BIF.
Read my comment again. You are missing my points.
Cem..It very Simple..Before your "About "Heading ..mention that you blogging at request of me,since i have mentioned you in my Blog It Forward - Abhishek Agarwal. And at the end you can mention people who you want to inspire to write their own BIF.(Please see to it that the person has not already written their BIF's).
Thanks and Regards
-Abhishek
