Doctors Without Borders – Epic Birthday Smackdown Challenge
Go ahead. I know what you’re thinking. It’s okay. I feel that way too. “SUCKER” must be written right across my forehead.
Yesterday, my good friend, fellow SAP Mentor and ASUG Volunteer Extraordinaire, Sue Keohan, challenged me to a fundraising contest to benefit Doctors Without Borders. You see, besides all of our other commonalities, Sue and I happen to share the same birthday. So we decided to call the friendly (so far) contest the Epic Birthday Smackdown to see who can raise more money for Doctors Without Borders before our birthdays on August 10th.
I figured I’d have a day or two to put together a strategy for how I was going to win the contest, but a mere 2 minutes or so after agreeing to this, the onslaught began. Yep. Sucker.
Ok, so Sue is the “Workflow Goddess” and has about a 16 hour lead on me. So what? Let’s do this.
Head on over to the Doctors Without Borders SCN donation site, and make sure you enter your SCN ID and mine (Greg Myers) so we can rise to this glorious challenge together.
Why should you choose “Team Greg”? Well, when August 10th arrives, I’ll be 42 this year. And we all know that 42 is the answer to the entire Universe. So I think rather than “Team Greg”, that I’d like to refer to this team, the winning team, as “Team 42”. Are you in? If you’re not with Team 42, you’re just wrong. 🙂
Let the games begin!
Oh, your snazzy logo thingy will not save the day, but I suppose we could excuse you for thinking that because all you young whippersnappers are all about the flash and no substance.
But if it did? I would use this logo, because I am a WOMAN IN TECHNOLOGY.
We don't want this to turn into a battle of the sexes though, so I will use some restraint.
