It is possible to call the powerful cross Catalog Search of SRM UI Add-on from ERP Transactions. You can integrate cross catalog search into every ERP transaction where a standard catalog call is available. Please see document for more details.

Looks like there is Typo -- I guess this solution is based on SRM 7.0 EhP3 but it's written as EhP2 in Slide8.
