What’s New in Lumira SP 1.17 Webcast Notes
Last week, Henry Banks, SAP, provided this webcast. He is also a top contributor in the Lumira SCN space.

With Lumira 1.17, you can “Compose” now
You can see in Figure 1 that SAP is moving to a “Quality focus” with Lumira
Desktop, cloud, server, updates are all synchronized

HANA Cloud Integration is supported to connect on-premise

The desktop version took the Auto suggest from Cloud – as a starting point in the Visualize area

Q: Can you import Lumira Cloud boards and datasets back into Lumira Desktop?
A: Not at this point
Q: Can you publish to BI Launchpad –
A: yes
Q: Are there plans to bring the ‘Prepare’ room into Lumira cloud?
A: Desktop has Sybase IQ installed locally – can’t answer – not sure if cloud is place for heavy transformations
Q: Can vizPacker extensions be used on Lumira Server/Lumira Cloud boards/infographics/reports?
A: server yes, cloud no – hope too
Q: Without HANA can we export Lumira visualizations to BI Launch Pad? In other words for non-HANA customers can lumira be enhanced to BI Launch Pad
A: No – can use BI Workspaces, Lumira Cloud public URL
Innovations – large amounts of data – new features coming – SP20 planned to have real big data
