On 24 June, SAP UA visited the Chiselhurst Site of the Buffalo City campus of the Walther Sisulu University (WSU). Facilitated by Messrs. Ricky Ngandu and Baird Ndovie, SAP UA was hosted by the Director of the School of Computing, Mr. Jose Lukose.

Walter Sisulu University is a university of technology and science with its main campus in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, South Africa.  It came into existence in 2005 as a result of a merger between Border Technikon, Eastern Cape Technikon and the University of Transkei. The university is named after Walter Sisulu, a prominent figure in the struggle against apartheid.

There were actually two events.

The first was a presentation and discussion with Faculty members, explaining to them the options available to provide their students with SAP and generic ERP skills, through utilising the opportunities available through the SAP University Alliances and well as the SAP Education Student Academy and learning Hub.

The second was a student event.  De Wet Naude from SAP presented to a group of 3rd year IT and Business students.  The presentation focused on making students aware of SAP as a company, possible career choice within the SAP Ecosystem and SAP as potential employer of choice for young talents.
