Desired translation target language does not exists in SAP Netweaver Portal

For Translation target language “XXX” is not available in SAP Netweaver 7.3 portal system

Scenario:

  1. Create the role (ABC) with the page and iView
  2. Create a new translation worklist (ABC) with the objects
  3. Search the translation worklist and select the source and target language
  4. The target language ”XXX” is not available

Solution:

  1. Log on to NWA and navigate to: Configuration -> Infrastructure -> Application Modules;
  2. Search for com.sap.portal.admin.wizardframework;

  3.   On components, search for locale_list_service;

  4.   Add the desired locations to the “SourceLocales”, ”TargetLocales” and “PersonalizationLocales”

with the following sintax: <country>_ <LANGUAGE> or just <country>,

always using two letters for the country and language. E.g.: zh_CN.
