Quickly find expert knowledge with the “Who Can Help Me?” app
Employees are a wealth of knowledge, but finding an expert on a particular topic can be an exercise in frustration and inefficiency. Imagine you’re trying to find someone with experience in a certain industry, such as automotive parts, or a specific issue in a geographic area, such as environmental regulations in Australia. A common tactic is an email blast to hundreds of people—few (or none) of whom have the expertise you are looking for, although some may forward to other groups in the hopes of hitting the target with a scattershot approach. There is another, far more productive way.
The “Who Can Help Me?” app—as part of the EnterpriseJungle application—is tightly integrated with the SuccessFactors user interface and data sources, helping you quickly find and contact the best experts in your organization. You can access the app directly from within the EnterpriseJungle app in the SuccessFactors homepage, leveraging single sign-on. Using search terms you enter, the app combs through several sources of data—including on-premise human capital management systems, your cloud-based SuccessFactors solutions, and external social professional networking sites such as LinkedIn—to find the exact talent you’re looking for. If you’re having trouble defining your search terms, the app can make suggestions. The app quickly finds employees with appropriate knowledge, and ranks them based on their level of expertise. A quick card format displays helpful information—such as their home city, contact information, and their position in the organization. You can also view a graphical format that shows how you and experts are connected: for example, whether they are in your division or whether you know them through another employee. Showing relationships creates a personal element, simplifies your approach, and increases the likelihood that your chosen expert will respond quickly (for example, “Ahmed, you don’t know me, but I worked with Jill recently on a project, and I notice you have worked in the automotive industry.”)
The EnterpriseJungle app is built on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform extension package for SuccessFactors, which helps seamlessly extend SuccessFactors implementations. The “Who Can Help Me?” app is available as part of the EnterpriseJungle app in the SAP HANA Marketplace.

It also provides a simple way for you to try new apps to see if they will provide value and better outcomes for your business. Once you have tried the app, you can buy it from the SAP HANA Marketplace by navigating directly to the app page from your SuccessFactors instance. It’s that easy!
