Subtotals in Lumira

This What’s New in SAP Lumira 1.17 (summary) on page 8 shows that Lumira 1.17 has totals and subtotals for a table.

This is on the crosstab visualization:

You can see in the above we have State, Quarter, and revenue (no subtotals)

The “Rows Subtotals” is new in 1.17

The above shows totals by quarter in the cross tab.

I noticed when you place a dimension in the “Rows Subtotals” area it is automatically placed in the Rows Axis area as well.

Note I used the Sales Analysis under “Try with Examples” in Lumira 1.17

This post is quite old but the total part is interesting.

Is it possible to leverage this in a custom viz extension? Because with default configuration SDK does not provide total field nor total value for several dimensions sharing the same indicator (aggregated or not), like the example of this post shows.

Any tips if this is possible?

      Hi Vincent,

You can try integrating SAPUI5 tabe inside SAP Lumira which will be handy for all operation.

      Hi Pradeep.

Will it really help? My point is to get total values through the SDK, not calculate them by myself.

For example, in the second screenshot, if I recreate an extension-like, the SDK will provide me all the values per revenue (1570167, 2301769, ...) but not the total by quarter (6472939, ...), or at least I'm not able to locate these last values the first time a custom extension sees the data (even before formatting). The aggregation method used to generate the total can be far more complex than the standard ones in Lumira (Sum, Average, ...) if for example they come from Hana Online, so I can't recalculate them myself anyway.

So, is there a known (even unofficial) way to leverage this information?
