Today, I found enough time frame to download and install Lumira1.17 desktop version, thanks to Tammy Powlas that informed us, to download 64 bit in order to get the version 1.17. I have used the Worldcup excel data to taste the new functionalities.

I have created a dataset from local excel file and in the advanced options “detect merged cells” option is added in the new version, which will be very good functionality to use excel that contains merged cells. However I did not use this function in below scenario.

After acquiring data new look of visualization screen appeared with new functionality called related visualization wizard. This is very important for people who need to be guided in order get best look of the data that they are trying to develop a story.

The good thing is proposed visualizations can be filtered by the available grains of the dataset.

Once you finished selecting the best visualization you can continue to develop your story by new creating supporting graphs.

I really like the new functionalities and look of Lumira, which is more stable and full of guidance at a glance.

Cheers,

Sarhan.

Good job Sarhan. About related visualizations, when you are in this panel, if you click a measure, you see the UI is changed and you can now determine the “top influencers” of a given mesure.
